This study received no specific funding.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"sectionTitle\">    Limitations: <\/h3>\n<p>The diagnosis of NAFLD was made by ultrasound rather than liver biopsy. The cross-sectional design of this study does not allow conclusions about a causal relationship between NAFLD and risk of colorectal adenomatous polyps.
