All Elite Wrestling star Kenny Omega has been hospitalized with serious health issues.

The 40-year-old wrestler also serves as executive vice president of AEW after helping to found Tony Khan’s company with The Young Bucks, and is currentlyWWE star Cody Rhodes has confirmed that he will be taking an “indefinite” hiatus.

Omega explained that he has been trying to fight the pain “as best I can” but is now forced to step away from the ring.

“I can’t express this well,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself in the hospital. He is out indefinitely. I tried to push through the pain for as long as possible until it got too bad.

“Luckily the doctors caught me at that time. I’ll be on my way, so until then, enjoy wrestling!”

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, the former world champion “has been sick all of last week,” including his match against Ethan Page at AEW Collision.
