Ty Masterpool was never lacking in speed, that’s for sure.But as the saying goes, you have to be in it to win, and Master Pool has frequently found himself do not have It’s in there due to injury. However, things will be different in 2023, and Masterpool was able to advance to every round of Pro Motocross this year and did so at a very high level. Super Motocross didn’t stop this likeable privateer riding with the help of his new HBI Racing team, even though he contracted appendicitis just before the first round of the playoffs.

With the help of antibiotics, Masterpool pushed through and finished 10th overall, making a big difference for his efforts. Jason Wygant connected with him at Pitt on Saturday night to discuss everything.

Ty Masterpool: Yeah, that’s pretty good! I never thought I’d make all of them. [SMX] Appendicitis season. I’m grateful to be here. I think I finished 7th overall that day, and then 10th overall. pretty good. My appendix is really painful right now. I think I’ll have surgery on Tuesday, so I’d appreciate your help. I’m really thankful that my appendix didn’t burst after three laps. I’m glad!
